Ashgrove Sensory Pod

 

We purchased The Sensory Pod which is installed within the hall of our Ashgrove site. The Pod is a quiet environment where a child can spend time with an adult, the closed area and calming lights make it the perfect space to relax and regulate. There is the option for technology learning activities to be accessed in the Pod, the nature of the environment making it easier to focus. The mirrors coupled with lighting are an enticing invitation to explore emotions and facial expression. Within free play in the hall, the nursery children often choose to share this space with each other where it has been used for a variety of purposes such as to share a favourite TV programme together or for imaginary play.
